With Opening Day vastly approaching, three more signings were officially unveiled today by the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Starting pitchers Michael Schlact and Ben Moore will return to Southern Maryland, along with outfielder Casey Benjamin.

Sugar Land, TEXAS – The Sugar Land Skeeters have obtained the Atlantic League negotiating rights of seven players in the Atlantic League Expansion Draft Friday. Most notable from the list are former major league pitchers Logan Kensing and Josh Banks.

The two-time defending Atlantic League champion York Revolution have announced the return of infielder Ramon Castro, a career .341 hitter in the Atlantic League who was named to Baseball America's All Independent Team last season, as well as catcher Salvador Paniagua. York has also added right-handed pitcher Santo Luis, who was rated as having "maybe the best arm in independent ball" by Baseball America last season.

In the wake of the devastating 45-10 loss that the Denver Broncos endured against the New England Patriots in the AFC Divisional game on Saturday, January 14, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs will be inviting Broncos quarterback and football sensation Tim Tebow to throw out a first pitch on Thursday, June 21 before the Blue Crabs take on the Somerset Patriots at Regency Furniture Stadium.
