Revs Reach 7-Year Stadium Naming Rights AgreementYork Professional Baseball and PeoplesBank have entered into an agreement for the latter to be the official stadium naming rights partner of the York Revolution, effective immediately. The Downtown York home of the Revolution is now known as PeoplesBank Park. The initial agreement ensures the facility will be PeoplesBank Park for a minimum of seven baseball seasons, through September of 2022. Options in the agreement give PeoplesBank control of the naming rights until 2035. An announcement was made on Thursday, December 17 at the Revolution’s annual Hot Stove Luncheon, held this year at The Yorktowne Hotel. Hall-of-Fame pitcher and Baltimore Orioles legend Jim Palmer was the featured speaker at the event, where the new PeoplesBank Ballpark logo (above and attached) was unveiled. “This new partnership is one of the most significant in the history of the Revolution, and it’s fitting that it is announced as we launch our 10th anniversary season,” said York Revolution President Eric Menzer. “It’s even more fitting that PeoplesBank is our new stadium naming partner, because they have such a tremendous history as an anchor business in York County, totally committed to the community. They are a model of how we hope people think about the Revolution’s role as a leader in making York County a better place to live, work, and raise a family.” The Revolution came to a mutual agreement to terminate the stadium naming rights deal with their previous partner, a year prior to that contract expiring. The in-stadium transition to PeoplesBank Park is well underway in terms of signage and marketing materials as the 10thanniversary season of York Revolution Baseball draws closer. “PeoplesBank has a long history of supporting the organizations and causes that help make York County a great place to live,” said Larry J. Miller, President and Chief Executive Officer of PeoplesBank. “As the largest financial institution based in York County, we are proud to be the Revolution’s top local business partner and look forward to joining them in delivering family friendly entertainment to Revs fans throughout the spring and summer.” The new partnership makes PeoplesBank the Revolution’s preeminent local partner, linking them with the premier family entertainment facility in York County, and the largest public gathering place in York City. The agreement also makes PeoplesBank the sponsor of the “Rookie Revs” program (the Revolution’s kids’ club), as well as the sponsor of a new “Wednesday Kids Eat Free” promotion. PeoplesBank will also name a charity annually to benefit from a custom jersey auction, and will hold an annual client appreciation night for all PeoplesBank customers, among other elements of the relationship. The Revolution is also becoming members of the PeoplesBank Rewards program. An inaugural offer for half-price flex tickets is available to PeoplesBank customers for the next 30 days. Additional special Revolution cross promotional offers will be unveiled for PeoplesBank clients and any visitors to their branches in the coming weeks leading up to the 2016 season. Fans should also save Saturday, April 30 on their calendars; which will be the inaugural PeoplesBank Night at the newly-named ballpark. More details on the event are forthcoming, once the Revolution promotional schedule is released in January. The York Revolution Professional Baseball Club is a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, and Atlantic League Champions in 2010 and 2011. 2016 will be the Revolution’s 10th anniversary season at 5 Brooks Robinson Way. The facility hosts all 70 home games in addition to myriad events through the entire calendar year.
