A pair of critical Game Three match-ups are on tap for the Atlantic League on Friday night. The Lancaster Barnstormers visit the Southern Maryland Blue in a 6:35 start at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, Md. while the High Point Rockers host the Gastonia Honey Hunters at 6:35 p.m. at Truist Point in High Point, N.C.

Lancaster and Southern Maryland are tied at one game apiece in the best of five North Division Championship series after the Barnstormers' wild comeback on Wednesday night. Trailing 7-3 in the bottom of the ninth, Lancaster pushed across a single run before Ariel Sandoval hit a three-run homer to force the game into extra innings. In the bottom of the 10^th, shortstop Jake Hoover hit a solo homer to right to give the ‘Stormers the 8-7 win.

After suffering a 12-1 defeat in the South Division opener at Gastonia, High Point rallied behind former Major Leaguer Logan Morrison to square the series at one game apiece with an 11-4 win on Wednesday.  Morrison hit two homers, a three-run shot and a grand slam, to drive in seven runs and propel the Rockers to the win.

On Friday night, the Barnstormers will send Nile Ball (11-5, 4.08) to the mound to face Southern Maryland’s Alex Merithew (8-3, 3.91). Merithew posted the fifth-best ERA in the Atlantic League during the regular season while Ball’s was seventh-best. In High Point, it will be veteran righty Craig Stem (3-0, 4.91) facing Gastonia lefty Gunnar Kines (1-0, 3.86).

Both game fours are scheduled for Saturday night.
