Staten Island, NY- On April 26th, 2022, the Staten Island FerryHawks, in conjunction with the Office of the Borough President, announced their Harbor Hero of the Game nomination presented by Blue Wealth and sponsored by Servpro of Staten Island. 

Since the purchase of the FerryHawks franchise in 2021, the team set out on an important goal to reach each community member in its own unique way. Staten Island is a borough full of everyday heroes and essential workers who care for their families and their neighborhoods. Staten Island is known for the heavy presence of first responders, civil servants, and the Staten Island Coast Guard Station. Now we will all have a chance to honor them!

"We look forward to hearing Staten Islanders' nominations and honoring our heroes at the 66 home games throughout the season. Get ready to have so much family fun on the St. George waterfront!"

"Essentially, we'll take nominations from the public and award them four tickets and special recognition during one inning. It's broader than just civil service and military," said President Eric Shuffler. "We want to get our volunteers and community leaders who give back to their neighbors."
