2010 Atlantic League Playoffs

The following changes for the 2010 Atlantic League Playoffs have been approved by your Atlantic League Board of Directors at the October 27, 2009 meeting in New York City.

The 2010 Division Series will begin on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 following the conclusion of the second half of the 2010 Atlantic League season and will be played as a best of five in a two/two/one format (change from 2/3 format of prior seasons). The first half winner would have the option to select either Games one, two and five (if necessary) or games three and four (if necessary) which would be played on Friday and Saturday.

The Championship Series would begin the following Wednesday, September 29, 2010 with the series start alternating as in prior seasons with the new two/two/one format (change from 2/3 format of prior seasons) and will start in the Freedom Division in 2010.

Note. The Championship Series will start in the Freedom Division in 2010 because the Liberty Division had three games in the 2/3 format in 2009. The 2011 Series will start in the Liberty Division Champions home in 2011.
