PATRIOTS' KNIGHT NAMED PITCHER OF THE MONTH
Knight Goes 3-0 For The Month

Bridgewater, NJ – The 2007 South Division Champion Somerset Patriots have announced that right-handed pitcher Brandon Knight has been named the Atlantic League Pitcher of the Month for September.

Knight finished the regular season in September with a 3-0 record, a 1.59 ERA, and 24 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched over three games started.

Knight finished the regular season for Somerset with a 12-5 record, a 4.03 ERA, and 111 strikeouts in 91.2 innings pitched in 29 games.

He is tied for third in the Atlantic League in wins and third in strikeouts.

Knight won five straight starts dating back to August 23rd and is 6-1 since August 12th. As a starting pitcher this season, Knight is 9-4 with a 3.86 ERA in 13 games.

The Somerset Patriots 10th Anniversary Season presented by Ford will continue at home with Game 1 of the Atlantic League Championship Series versus the Newark Bears on Friday, September 21st at 7:05 pm.
