11 Players Drafted at Atlantic League Player Showcase

Over 300 players participate in three-day event at TigerTown
 

(Lancaster, Pa., April 1, 2019) – The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball Player Showcase, produced by Prospect Dugout, was held successfully this past weekend. 11 players were drafted by Atlantic League clubs following the event, which took place March 29-31 at the TigerTown Complex in Lakeland, Fla.

“The Player Showcase was a great success in all aspects,” said Atlantic League President Rick White. “Player participation exceeded our initial forecasts and was impressive, while Prospect Dugout did a terrific job organizing and running the event. We are grateful to everyone who took part.”

Perfect weather conditions highlighted the three-day event. The Player Showcase saw over 300 players with varying levels of previous experience participate, including many with MLB service time. More than two dozen Major League Baseball clubs were represented at the event as well. Following the Showcase, all eight Atlantic League clubs participated in a player draft to select participants from the tryout. The following players were chosen (draft order based upon 2018 overall regular season record):
